Ron is a local artist who loves to create unusual characters with a macabre sense of humor. Each one is unique and has their own “personality”. His artwork has been influenced by artists such as Ed Roth, Berni Wrightson, Mort Drucker and Jack Davis. Instead of formal art training he chose to study and learn from his influences while developing his own technique. Ron has received numerous awards and recognition from the Agni Gallery in New York, Universal Studios, Michigan State Fair Fine Arts, Motor City Conventions, Wayne County Council for the Arts and the Dearborn Community Arts Council. He currently has two compositions on permanent display in the Conferencing Center located within the Fairlane Office Center in Dearborn. One of his works was a finalist in the Ralph McQuarrie “Man and Machine” International Art Competition. Two of his pieces were recently included among a limited selection of works chosen by the WCCA to be displayed in the Padzieski Art Gallery at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center in Dearborn for the duration of their annual Artists Are Among Us exhibit.
