Anime Screening for Motor City Comiccon

Schedule is subject to change as time and situation forces us to make adaptations as the convention gets closer. Changes will be posted by the anime room door. This year, because this room is located in the  Diamond Center area, it is not tied to the Dealer Room hours. This means that it will be starting before the dealer room opens and can run later Friday and Saturday.  This will give the pre-reg something to do besides standing in line.

So sit back and enjoy the show!

Friday Anime Programming Schedule

Just a Reminder:  Times are approximate. Features rarely finish up on the hour or half hour. So there maybe lag time from one to the next.

This show became the archetype of love triangles.) “Unremovable Magic Lipstick” – After watching a television advertising campaign for a new lipstick, Lun decides to concoct her own version.  It causes people to be attracted to each other. (This is an exceptionally weird episode. This series (this episode) got its first mass exposure in this country, (outside of the CFO) at the first Baycon.  Thus forever warping the perceptions of what anime in America was, and could be.)

12:00 Dirty Pair – This is the original show that started the legend of Kei and Yuri. Once again, Kotetsu (Wild Tiger), finds himself at the bottom of the season rankings as his sponsoring company, (yes, heros have sponsoring companies), get bought out.  Finding out that a new company not only bought his contract, supplies him with a new costume, but they also wants to sidekick him to the newly discoverer Barnaby Brooks Jr.

Barnaby has his own ideas. He goes against the normal conventions of maintaining a secret identity and goes public for his own reasons.

As for Kotetsu,  he is not to keen on taking on a partner and tags Barnaby with the nickname, Bunny, (hence the title.)
