Judy Skaltsounis has been drawing since kindergarten, but it was a dot picture assignment in the 7th grade that started her interest in pointillism. She developed her drawing skills in high school, and continued to work on her own unique style of pointillism. After 2 failed marriages and raising 2 children, with a long break from art, she came back to drawing dot pictures with a goal of selling them at art fairs. She did pretty good at the art shows, but failing tent canopies forced her to rethink her strategy. So she decided to give Comic Cons a shot. Switching her subject matter from animals, landscapes, and still life to superheros, villains and movie stars, she always stuns any viewer who takes a close look at her intricate and detailed, yet beautifully visual way of blending colors with dots made from markers.
